Gabe recently completed a 5 week workshop in Beijing, China, for a new Broadway scale musical called Sound of the Silk Road. This World Premiere will be opening next summer (2021) in Xi’an, China. The following summer (2022) the show will be installed in a brand new theme park in Xi’an about the Silk Road.

Winners have been announced for the 2019 BroadwayWorld Connecticut Awards. Goodspeed Opera House’s production of Billy Elliot won 9 awards, including Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Choreography, Best Set, Costume, Lighting and Sound Design, Best Actor and Best Ensemble.
Billy Elliot, directed by Gabriel Barre, recently completed it’s three month run at Goodspeed Opera House.

The world premiere of the new Czech musical, Holmes the Legend opened tonight at the Karlin Theatre in Prague. Written by Ondřej Brzobohatý and starring Vojtěch Dyk.
Gabe recently began work with composer/writer Rupert Holmes to create a new musical based on the novel, Flowers of War, set in Nanjing, China in 1937.
The Mexican premiere of Billy Elliot that Gabe directed has just been nominated for 10 Metro Awards, including Best Director .
John Cariani’s play, Almost, Maine was just awarded the most produced play in the United States for the third year.
